About

Rosalind is a young artist at the National Opera Studio. She recently completed her studies at the Alexander Gibson Opera School, where she trained under Wilma MacDougall. She previously graduated with a Master of Performance degree with distinction from the Royal College of Music. Rosalind was a 2023 Garsington Alvarez young artist and the 2022 winner of the Ye Cronies Opera Award. She is generously supported by Help Musicians UK and the Carne Trust.

Rosalind studied English Literature at Magdalene College, Cambridge, before completing her Masters in Vocal Performance at the Royal College of Music in 2018. She is an Associate Artist of the New Renaissance Collective. Operatic roles include: Laoula, L'Etoile (RCS 2023), Controller, Flight (RCS 2022), Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Cunegonde (Candide), The Young Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen), Abigail Williams (The Crucible), Gretel/Dew Fairy (Hansel and Gretel, British Youth Opera). Contemporary opera includes: The Artist (Hunger, Joanna Ward), Horatia (The Fermi Paradox, Lara Poe, RCM/Tête-à-Tête), Annalyn 2 (Autopilot saves Model S, Marco Galvani). Rosalind has performed in masterclasses with Brindley Sherratt, Ann Murray and Josephine Barstow, and is the 2022 winner of the Ye Cronies Opera Award.
